Former NJPW IWGP World Heavyweight Champion Kazuchika Okada makes a voice cameo in the Japanese dub of Black Adam.

Ahead of the December 2 release of Black Adam in Japan, a promotional event was held featuring the voice actors who contributed to the Japanese language dubbed edition of the DC Studios movie.

Not only did Kazuchika Okada attend the event, it was revealed that he will make a vocal cameo in the film.

Okada’s wife Suzuko Mimori is notably a voice actor, and has worked on a number of dubbed films, including the Japanese version of Clifford The Big Red Dog, which premiered in Japan in January.

Discussing the pointers he received from his partner, Okada said:

“My wife is a voice actor, so she gave me advice on what to do.

“She told me, ‘Look at the expressions on people’s faces as they speak, and speak at the same temperature as them, and you’ll be fine.’

“I said, ‘Okay, I’ll try that,’ and when I got there, the person was wearing a mask and had no facial expression, so I was a little nervous.”

Okada also revealed that he wants a match with WWE legend Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson, who plays the titular Black Adam in the film.

The 2022 G1 Climax winner is preparing to challenge for Jay White’s IWGP World Heavyweight Championship at Wrestle Kingdom 17 on January 4, 2023.
