Keith Lee Clarifies Recent AEW Backstage Status

After being out of action for over a year, former AEW World Tag Team Champion Keith Lee has clarified his recent AEW backstage status.

Last competing on the December 23, 2023 taping of AEW Collision, fans have long speculated what the status of Keith Lee in the company with little new information being available in recent months.

After missing the entirety of 2024, Fightful Select reported that the former WWE star had not been cleared for an in-ring return after a medical issue has kept him sidelined.

As previously reported, Lee was reportedly spotted backstage for the February 5 edition of AEW Dynamite in Athens, GA.

However, Keith Lee took to social media to respond to this report and clarified his recent AEW backstage appearance. He wrote:

For the record…. this isn’t true. I was at Collision in Houston. But I was at the Dynamite in Austin briefly. I do live in Texas after all. Good day.

It remains to be seen when Lee can make his return to AEW television at the time of this writing.
