On Saturday night at AAA Heroes Inmortales XIII, Kenny Omega defeated fellow AEW star Fenix to capture the AAA Mega Championship.
The match was said to have been tremendous, with Kenny finally putting the Lucha Brother member away with a V-Trigger followed by a One-Winged Angel.
Despite AEW having their own championships to build up, Kenny Omega has claimed that he will be bringing his AAA Mega Championship to AEW TV.
The Cleaner cut the following promo after his hard-fought win against Fenix over the weekend
“I’ve always been a man who said to make history everywhere I go. I never said it would be easy. Does it look like it was easy? Fenix, you’re still one of the best. I’m just better. You were a great champion, but I will be better. From here on in, that title, the Mega Championship is now the Omega Championship. You might see it back in Mexico, but you will, I promise you, you will see it in AEW.”
In recent weeks, Kenny Omega has been feuding with former WWE Superstar Jon Moxley on AEW: Dynamite. The pair will clash next month at AEW Full Gear.
There is no word on whether or not Omega will be putting his AAA Mega Championship on the line, or if he will just be walking down to the ring with his new belt.
