AEW EVP Kenny Omega has weighed in on a debate about who’s better, himself or WWE Hall of Famer Kurt Angle.
Angle is often celebrated as one of the best technical wrestlers of all time.
While Omega is one of the most accomplished wrestlers currently active on the AEW roster, he doesn’t believe he’d compare with the Olympic gold medalist in his prime.
Sharing a tweet asking which star is better, Omega noted that he’s happy to take the L.
Believing that he and Angle would have one heck of a match, he said:
I don’t study myself when I want to learn, I study Kurt. He’s the best for a reason. I take the L – but it’d be a heck of match 😉
Omega most recently wrestled at Double or Nothing 2023, teaming with the Young Bucks and Hangman Page to battle the Blackpool Combat Club in an Anarchy in the Arena match.
The Elite ultimately came up short, after Konosuke Takeshita sided with the Blackpool Combat Club.
Full results from AEW Double Or Nothing 2023 were as follows:
HOOK, Jeff Hardy & Matt Hardy def. Austin Gunn, Colten Gunn & Ethan Page
International Championship Blackjack Battle Royal – Orange Cassidy (c) def. 20 others, last eliminating Swerve Strickland
Unsanctioned Match – Adam Cole def. Chris Jericho
AEW World Tag Team Championship (Special Guest Referee Mark Briscoe) – FTR (c) def. Jay Lethal & Jeff Jarrett
TNT Championship Ladder Match – Wardlow (c) def. Christian Cage

Anarchy in the Arena – Bryan Danielson, Claudio Castagnoli, Jon Moxley & Wheeler Yuta def. Adam Page, Kenny Omega & Young Bucks thanks to interference from Konosuke Takeshita w/Don Callis
I don’t study myself when I want to learn, I study Kurt. He’s the best for a reason. I take the L – but it’d be a heck of match 😉 https://t.co/jkHoGujPgH
