Kenny Omega Plans Changed Due To Suspension

Kenny Omega Plans Changed Due To Suspension AEW

Former AEW World Champion Kenny Omega made his return to AEW back in August after nine months away with multiple injuries, returning as the mystery partner for the Young Bucks in the AEW Trios Championship tournament.

Less than a month later, Omega is again away from AEW, this time due to a suspension with CM Punk, the Young Bucks and Ace Steel after their backstage fight at the AEW All Out media scrum.

Omega has made several appearances since his suspension, flying out to Japan to visit SEGA headquarters, where he also had his model scanned for an upcoming installment of the Yakuza franchise.

Omega’s trip was also intended to help promote the upcoming AEW Fight Forever game at the Tokyo Games Show.

Per Dave Meltzer on Wrestling Observer Radio, Kenny was originally set to be a part of the presentation for the game in Tokyo, but due to his suspension, he will no longer be a part of the presentation.

He said:

“Omega’s in Japan right now, and it’s interesting because the original trip was partially to promote the AEW video game because they’ve got the Tokyo Game Show. Because of his suspension, he’s not going to be involved with the presentation of it there.”

Kenny spent his time away in Japan wisely, taking to Twitter to share photos he took with Golden Lovers partner Kota Ibushi upon his return to Japan.
