Kevin Knight Shares First Comments After Signing With AEW AEW

AEW’s latest signee Kevin ‘The Jet’ Knight has shared his first comments after officially becoming All Elite.

Amid reports of WWE being interested in his signature, former NJPW star Kevin Knight took to the ring on last night’s AEW Collision for his TV debut against ‘Switchblade’ Jay White.

After an impressive performance White praised Knight, saying he was “pretty sure” we’d be seeing more of the former two-time IWGP Junior Heavyweight Tag Team Champion in the future.

Not too long after White’s comments Tony Khan took to Twitter to confirm that would in fact be the case, as Knight was officially announced to have signed with AEW.

Following his match with White, AEW cameras caught up with The Jet for a digital exclusive interview posted to Twitter.

Addressing not only his defeat but also his main event level ambitions for his AEW career, Knight said:

“Jay White, you got me tonight. You got me. I respect that. Not only do I respect your work, I respect what you about to do in that tournament. I hope you’re going to win the whole thing because just know tonight you felt the Jet.

“Not only did you feel it, the rest of All Elite Wrestling did. The locker room and everybody in the office saw what the Jet was capable of tonight.

“So tonight, I may not have got the W, But next week, when the Jet comes back, and the next week, the Jet’s going to keep building that confidence.

“Not only will I be headlining Collision, I’m going to be headlining Dynamite. I’m going to be headlining pay-per-views all over the country, just how the Jet do. Jay White, I’m going to come up for you and the rest of the locker room to see who can really fly with the Jet, because the Jet is too fly.”

After news broke of Knight’s signing, it was revealed that the 28-year-old had not only been in talks with WWE, but had even undergone a tryout with the company before opting to join AEW.
