Kevin Owens has now commented on his absence from Monday’s edition of WWE Raw.
Owens was originally meant to face off against either Ezekiel, Elias or their brother Elrod, with WWE announcing that the bout would be a Money in the Bank qualifier on the day of the show.
The show aired from the Sames Auto Arena in Laredo, Texas.
Recalling his previous issues with the Lone Star State, Owens has now taken to Twitter to note:
I didn’t want to go to Texas so I didn’t go.
Leave me alone.
Owens insulted Texas for weeks ahead of WrestleMania 38, which emanated from the AT&T Stadium in Arlington. In the main event of WrestleMania 38 Saturday, Stone Cold Steve Austin defeated Owens in an impromptu No Holds Barred match.
In actuality, Owens missed Monday’s show due to a ‘minor situation’, which you can read more about right here.
The star last wrestled on the June 13 edition of Raw, losing to Ezekiel via countout. Prior to this, Owens had defeated Ezekiel in singles action at Hell in a Cell.
