Kevin Owens’ Dream WrestleMania Opponent Revealed!

Kevin Owens’ Dream WrestleMania Opponent Revealed!

“Let the Kevin Owens news keep rolling,” said the wrestling fan.

Since Owens’ first class performance on Monday’s RAW, where he failed in his Intercontinental title bid against Seth Rollins and subsequently “quit;” the wrestling world has wanted to know what ‘the Prizefighter’ could really be up to.

Chuck Carroll of CBS Local Sports may have a lead on that. He has now revealed a chat he had with the former Universal Champion over SummerSlam weekend, in which we learned what K.O. hopes is on the cards for him. He told Carroll:

“There’s so many guys I wish I could wrestle, but if it was up to me, whatever I would do would lead to me and Finn Bálor at WrestleMania next year.”

Owens appreciates the similar journey both he and Balor have taken while in WWE. About the leader of Balor club, he said:

“He and I came to WWE the exact same time. We didn’t know each other before we got there. We became pretty close pretty quickly when we did get to the NXT Performance Center. He’s been my best friend ever since, so I’d love to share the ring with him on that stage in WrestleMania.

“I love wrestling him and as far as I know he feels the same way. I think we put on really entertaining matches that are very good. We had a match in Japan a few years ago that I still think was one of my best ones in WWE.”

Is it wishful thinking that Kevin Owens “quitting” WWE RAW could eventually lead to a dream feud with Finn Balor? Maybe. But stranger things have happened.

After all, there are only so many times Finn can wrestle Baron Corbin.
