Kevin Owens Misses WWE Raw Due To ‘Minor Situation’ WWE

An update has emerged on Kevin Owens after his match was pulled from Monday’s (June 27) edition of WWE Raw.

Owens was originally scheduled to face either Ezekiel, Elias or their brother Elrod, with WWE announcing that the bout would be a Money in the Bank qualifying match ahead of the show.

During the episode, it was announced that the bout will be ‘rescheduled’, however a new date for the contest was not confirmed.

Per Dave Meltzer on Wrestling Observer Radio, Owens was pulled from the card due to a situation that is believed to be minor.

Meltzer said:

“Kevin Owens – whatever the situation is, is minor, but he was not on the show, which is why the Ezekiel match did not happen as originally scheduled.

“I did not check if Kevin Owens would be ready by Friday, I just know that he was not ready tonight but it’s nothing serious, is what I was told.”

Taking to social media, Owens has now blamed Texas for his WWE Raw absence.

Owens last wrestled on the June 13 edition of WWE Raw, losing to Ezekiel via countout. This was the second time that Owens and Ezekiel faced off in singles action, with Owens previously picking up the victory at Hell in a Cell.

On Monday’s episode of WWE Raw, both Riddle and Becky Lynch qualified for their respective Money in the Bank ladder matches. Check out the updated card for this Saturday’s WWE premium live event right here.
