It was reported yesterday that Kevin Owens would require knee surgery and would be off WWE TV for a short while, though, at the time, no further details were available.
The Wrestling Observer Newsletter is now reporting that Owens could miss up to eight months if the injury is more severe than first thought.
The ‘Prizefighter’ has been working with a bad knee for some time now, which could have aggravated the original issue.
He is scheduled for arthroscopic knee surgery next week, and depending on how that goes, could be out for anywhere between four and eight months.
Owens was written off TV this past Monday on Raw, when Bobby Lashley seemingly turned heel and attacked Owens’ knee after their match, which Lashley won after a distraction from Lio Rush.
The former WWE Universal Champion joins WrestleMania 34 tag team partner Sami Zayn on the injured list, with Zayn also set to miss the rest of this year.
Hopefully the injury isn’t too severe and Owens won’t be away from our screens for too long, because he is without a doubt one of the most entertaining parts of Raw each week.
Everyone at WrestleTalk wishes Owens a speedy recovery.
