Kevin Owens reacted on SmackDown to Undisputed WWE Champion Cody Rhodes agreeing to team with Roman Reigns.
To close tonight’s WWE SmackDown, there was something of a resolution to the show-long question of what Kevin Owens thought about Cody Rhodes planning to team with Roman Reigns at WWE Bad Blood.
Earlier in the night there was a compelling video showing Roman Reigns and Cody Rhodes meeting in Atlanta, at the center of the Georgia Tech football field.
In the end, the pair agreed to work together at WWE Bad Blood and Owens was shown backstage watching the video package.
When Byron Saxton asked Kevin Owens for comment, he declined and his support (or lack thereof) for Rhodes remained murky throughout the show.
While the main event was intended to be DIY and Kevin Owens vs. The Bloodline (Jacob Fatu, Tama Tonga and Tonga Loa), the faction would take out DIY before they joined the match.
Leaving Owens vulnerable, he was eventually joined by the Street Profits and then DIY, but in the end, it would take one special someone with a chair to fend off the Bloodline.
Cody Rhodes himself ran out to help KO, but as he kept his eye on the Bloodline it seemed as though Owens was eyeing him from behind.
Holding a steel chair, he would eventually drop it… but did pick it up again before the end of the show.
However in the interim, he did share an embrace with Rhodes in the ring, suggesting that he is still supporting Cody, although his facial expression was less than convincing.
