Kevin Owens has revealed his original plan for his big jump at WrestleMania 36 if the event would have been held in Raymond James Stadium as planned.
During his match against Seth Rollins last night, Owens climbed up the big WrestleMania sign situated behind the announce position, and jumped off it with an elbow drop to Rollins through the announce desk.
Obviously this exact spot wouldn’t have been able to happen had it not taken place in the Performance Center, but, in fact, Owens had something even bigger planned.
A fan pointed out to Owens that he could have jumped off the big pirate ship in the stadium, and Owens replied by confirming that was actually his original idea.
Owens wrote:
True story: I went to a show there in January. As soon as I saw it, I told myself no matter what I was doing at Mania, I’d find a way to jump off that thing. I even took pics of it to figure out the best way to go about it. It didn’t work out but I found the next best thing!
For reference, here’s what said pirate ship looks like:
Well, that sure would have been something, but props to KO and everyone else who performed at WrestleMania this year for doing their best to entertain us under the circumstances.
