WWE star Kevin Owens has seemingly thrown shade on CM Punk following the AEW Champion’s comments following All Out.
In the post-show media scrum, CM Punk voiced his frustrations with Colt Cabana, Hangman Page and the AEW EVPs, bashing the executives on several occasions.
Punk upset some backstage with his rant, with a physical altercation reportedly breaking out following Punk’s media scrum appearance, and some EVPs reportedly threatening to leave the company.
Kevin Owens took to Twitter following Punk’s appearance with a photo of himself and Stone Cold in the main event of WrestleMania 38 Saturday in April. It has been speculated that with the timing of the post, it was a shot at Punk, as Punk’s goal while with WWE was to headline a WrestleMania event, which ultimately didn’t happen.
Owens is notably friends with AEW EVPs Matt & Nick Jackson, with the trio previously part of the ‘Mount Rushmore’ faction with Adam Cole from 2013-2014.
Owens last wrestled on the August 29 edition of Raw, defeating Jey Uso after Sami Zayn refused to strike him with a chair on behalf of the Bloodline. Some fans have theorised that Owens and Zayn will officially reunite as a team soon to challenge for The Usos’ Undisputed WWE Tag Team Championship.
At the September 3 Clash At The Castle event, the Bloodline got a new member in Solo Sikoa, who interfered in Roman Reigns’ Undisputed WWE Universal Title defence against Drew McIntyre.
