Kevin Owens SHOOTS On His Career!

Kevin Owens appeared on the In This Corner podcast during SummerSlam weekend where he talked to host Brian Campbell about a variety of subjects. Amongst these were his career and working with Braun Strowman throughout the summer. On the subject of both he had this to say:

“There have been ups and downs in my career and let’s just call this one a down. It hasn’t been a lot of fun, to be honest, but it’s like any other job… it’s not always fun.”

It’s easy to see why he holds this view. During the feud, Owens has not only taken a lot of hard bumps, including being thrown off the top of a steel cage at Extreme Rules, but he was buried at the hands of Braun at SummerSlam in disgusting fashion.

The ‘Prizefighter’ joined RAW for the second time in April 2018 and on the August 27, 2018 episode quit after losing to Seth Rollins in a phenomenal Intercontinental Championship Match.  WWE has moved his profile to the alumni section of their website.

In the podcast interview with Campbell, Kevin definitely sounds like a man who’s tired of the treacherous physical grind of wrestling having trained since the age of 16.  During the interview, Owens was asked what he was thinking after being thrown from the steel cage by Strowman at Extreme Rules:,

“To be honest, I was thinking of my wife and kids at home.  They were watching. First thing I did when I got back was let them know I was ok.”

Is Owens’ quitting a work or a shoot: is he just being given some much-needed time off after the punishing feud with Strowman, or is he finished with the WWE? Let us known on Twitter and Discord today.
