Kevin Owens Sues Shane McMahon For 25 Million On WWE Smackdown Live

Kevin Owens Sues Shane McMahon For 25 Million On WWE Smackdown Live

Despite reports earlier in the day that Kevin Owens would not appear on Smackdown Live, Kevin Owens appeared in the crowd tonight on Smackdown Live.  Apparently, the 100k fine has impacted KO greatly.  His seats were pretty far back from ringside.

At the same time Owens appeared on screen, the camera cuts back to Shane McMahon’s office.  A referee was there to let him know someone was looking for him and KO had appeared.  Shane got served.

Shane then made his way down to the ring with a team of security.  Shane invited Kevin Owens in the ring to discuss whatever was on his mind.

This is definitely not the way typical firings and lawsuits go.  Shane reveals Owens has sued him for 25 million dollars in a wrongful termination lawsuit.

Kevin Owens called Shane McMahon a dumb a**.  Kevin brings up the fact that Shane McMahon fined Kevin Owens for putting his hands on an official.  However, he questions why Shane McMahon didn’t get fined for attacking Kevin Owens, who was a referee at the time.

Kevin goes on to tell Shane that he is not only suing him for 25 Million but if he wins the lawsuit he’ll get to fire Shane.  This is another case of odd storytelling by WWE.

Typically, heels resort to legal action.  Faces resort to action.

Kevin Owens, anti-authority figure, has now apologized, graveled for a fine to be removed, done the heel’s bidding as ref, and now sued his boss for wrongful termination.  Compelling right?
