WWE star Kevin Owens has now reacted to WWE Champion John Cena’s pipebomb promo from the June 20 edition of SmackDown.
With Cena set to put his title on the line against CM Punk at Night of Champions, the Champ took a trip down memory lane, cutting a promo that heavily referenced CM Punk’s 2011 pipebomb promo.
After putting CM Punk through a table with an Attitude Adjustment, Cena noted that he had a lot to get off his chest, and repeated several other lines in homage to his upcoming opponent.
He name-dropped several former WWE stars, including Matt Cardona, TNA Wrestling’s Nic Nemeth and AEW’s Claudio Castagnoli.
Kevin Owens has now taken to Twitter to react to this, sharing a photo of him from a previous show, wearing John Cena’s t-shirt.

It makes sense that Owens is supporting John Cena during his feud with CM Punk, with Owens and Punk shown to be cold with one another during previous WWE TV appearances.
While Owens previously stated that he’s not friends with Punk, he did indicate that he’d be open to working with the upcoming WWE Title challenger.
Owens and Cena have their own history in the ring, with then-NXT Champion Owens scoring an upset victory over then-US Champion John Cena at Elimination Chamber 2015.
Kevin Owens is currently out of action due to a serious neck injury. You can read the latest update on Owens’ status right here.
