Kevin Owens Names WWE Stars He Wants To Win Tag Titles With

Kevin Owens has named two WWE stars he wants to win Tag Team Championship gold with in the future.

Owens is a former WWE Universal, Intercontinental, United States and NXT Champion. While Owens has had a lot of success in WWE’s singles divisions, the Raw star has never won a set of Tag Team Titles in the company.

Speaking with Alex McCarthy of TalkSPORT, Owens noted that a tag championship reign with Sami Zayn would make the most sense to him. Owens also named Finn Balor as a talent he’d like to wrestle as a tandem with, noting:

“I’d love to be tag team champion just to add that notch to my belt. If it was going to be with anybody, it should be with Sami (Zayn) but it doesn’t seem like our trajectories are going to line up that way. Otherwise, I think Finn Balor would be a great partner for me. Beyond that, I really don’t know who I could pick. It doesn’t feel like anybody else would necessarily feel right, but those two guys definitely do.”

The Prizefighter also recently discussed nixed plans for him to return to NXT full-time, revealing that Vince McMahon had signed off on an ‘extended run’ before plans changed.

Owens’ WWE contract is set to expire in February of 2022, and there has been no word yet on if he has made a decision regarding his future with the company.
