‘Key High-Level’ WWE Personnel ‘Surprising’ Reaction To Stephanie McMahon Absence

It’s being reported that there is a “surprising” situation within WWE regarding Stephanie McMahon and her absence from the company.

McMahon recently announced she’d be taking her leave of absence, and her role as Chief Brand Officer is set to be filled by new hires.

Shortly after the announcement, it was reported that there were people in WWE who were talking negatively about McMahon, and a new update has shed some light on the kinds of people who were doing that.

According to Dave Meltzer in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, it’s “key high-level people who are the last people I’d expect to do so”, who are, well, doing so.

Meltzer also noted that McMahon is still on the Board of Directors and it’s believed that if/when she returns, it will be in a different role to what she was doing previously.
