Killer Kross Calls For ‘Underrated’ WWE Star To Win World Championship WWE

Former WWE star Killer Kross (fka Karrion Kross) has called for an “underrated” former rival to win another world championship.

With 2026 just over a month away, it has now almost been 10 years since WWE’s Finn Balor won his first and only world championship in the company.

At SummerSlam 2016 Balor defeated Seth Rollins to become the inaugural WWE Universal Champion, in what was just his third televised main roster match after being called up from NXT.

Unfortunately Balor suffered a serious shoulder injury during the match and forfeited his newly won title the following night on Raw, with “The Prince” yet to reach the top of the mountain in the nine years that have followed.

During an interview with Square Family Wrestling, Kross was asked about his time working with Finn Balor in NXT and the former WWE star had nothing but praise for The Judgment Day member.

Describing him as “underrated” and “tougher than most heavyweights”, Kross also spoke os his desire to see Balor become world champion again:

“He’s really, really tough. I don’t know what his current weight is, obviously he’s on the lighter side but Finn hits harder than most heavyweights, and he’s tougher than most heavyweights.

“Guy is a complete freak of nature and he’s one of my favorite opponents I’ve ever had in my entire career. He’s really, really good.

“He’s really underrated and I hope Finn becomes world champion again because he deserves it.”
