Killer Kross Shares Honest Thoughts On WWE We Want Kross Chants WWE

Killer Kross has shared his thoughts on the “we want Kross” chants in WWE, revealing what he was told about the fan reaction.

Known to WWE fans as Karrion Kross, the star parted ways with the company in August after his contract with the company expired.

It was the chants and their potentially ephemeral nature that saw someone suggest Kross take the deal that had been offered to him.

Speaking on Insight with Chris Van Vliet, Kross shared his thoughts on the chant, and the idea that the chant wouldn’t last forever.

Kross explained:

“I remember somebody calling me like ‘Hey man, that’s not going to go on forever, you should probably take the deal.’ First of all, our success is not predicated on the fans hijacking the show.

“Of course that’s going to go away eventually, nor were we banking on that changing… You see how much money people are paying for tickets, they’re going to have a good time. They’re not going to spend all that money to be angry in the building.

“We appreciated it so much, hearing it and seeing it, reading it, but, it’s like I said, all of those people who were chanting, they still come to see us, we know they’re still there, it doesn’t necessarily have to be on the show every single night.

“Also too, our friends are performing in the ring, they’re dieting all week, training all week, they’re giving 110%, we also don’t necessarily want that for them. Imagine going out there and killing yourself for the entertainment of the audience, and they’re chanting for somebody who’s not on the show. That’s a selfish thing to want when your friends are in the ring.”
