Killian Dain, the real-life husband of Nikki Cross, has taken to Twitter to react to her new superhero gimmick debuted on Raw last night.
A lot of fans were quick to criticize WWE for the character change, but it sounds like it was actually Cross’ idea.
Taking to his more personal Twitter account under his real name Damo Mackle, Killian Dain tweeted:
She had an idea and saw it brought to life. Very excited to see whats next! Go go Nikki!!!!
Cross teamed with Alexa Bliss last night on Raw to defeat Nia Jax and Shayna Baszler, meaning Cross and Bliss have qualified for the women’s Money in the Bank ladder match.
It does seem like WWE is getting behind Cross given her recent run of matches on Raw, so perhaps, and hopefully, the new gimmick is the boost she needs to be pushed to the next level.
