Kofi Kingston Being Filmed For Upcoming WWE Network Special

PWInsider is reporting that Kofi Kingston is being filmed by WWE camera crews in lead up to his WWE Championship match against current title-holder Daniel Bryan at WrestleMania 35 this Sunday.

According to the site, Kingston’s documentation is due to the promotion producing a “WWE 24” special for the WWE Network.

Kingston’s meteoric rise to the main event scene came out of nowhere earlier this year after Mustafa Ali – I still can’t believe they took away his first name – suffered a minor injury, taking him out of the Elimination Chamber match.

The New Day member was given the opportunity in the lead up to that event and took Ali’s spot in a gauntlet match to determine who would enter the chamber last. Kofi and Bryan kicked things off with the former shocking everyone by defeating the champ. He then went on to beat several other stars before finally losing to AJ Styles who was then swiftly RKO’d outta nowhere and pinned. Cheers, Randy.

Since then, Kingston was one of the last two in the chamber, losing to Bryan, put in a handicap match, made to run another gauntlet and had teammates Xavier Woods & Big E also run a tag team gauntlet all to earn his WrestleMania one-one-one match.

It will be one hell of a documentary when it is released later this year. Hopefully, we’ll see Kingston holding the WWE Championship at the end as well.
