Kofi Kingston has addressed his botched elimination from the 2022 men’s Royal Rumble match.
During the match, Kingston was pushed off the top rope by Kevin Owens. The master of avoiding Royal Rumble eliminations leaped to the ringside barricade, but landed slightly short. Unfortunately for Kofi, his feet hit the floor directly in front of the live camera.
Kingston has since taken to social media to bestow some wisdom on his fans, tweeting:
“Welp! “It is Better to Try and Fail Than Never to Try at All.” -someone said this”
Following Kingston’s elimination, Bryan Alvarez reported that the New Day star was originally set to do more in the Rumble, noting that he had spots planned with Big E for later in the match.
The bout was ultimately won by Brock Lesnar, who had lost his WWE Championship to Bobby Lashley earlier in the night, after interference from Roman Reigns. An update has emerged on WWE’s plans for the title at WrestleMania, or lack thereof.
Welp! 😂
