Kofi Kingston has revealed that the New Day has wanted to have a huge dream match with the Young Bucks for ‘a long time’.
Kingston, Xavier Woods and Big E have proven themselves as one of the top tag-teams in the world.
The trio have won gold on all three of WWE’s main brands, with Kingston and Woods currently holding the NXT Tag Team Championship.
Speaking with Scott Fisherman in TV Insider, Kingston revealed that he is interested in a dream match with AEW Executive Vice Presidents Matt & Nick Jackson.
When asked if there’s anyone in the wrestling world he’d recruit to work with, Kingston said:
“There are a lot of people. We’ve been wanting to have a match with the Young Bucks for a long time. It’s a special time.”
The Young Bucks currently hold the AEW Trios Championship with Kenny Omega.
The New Day and The Elite have faced off before… on Street Fighter V: Arcade Edition at E3 2018, prior to the formation of AEW.
Kingston and Woods will defend their NXT Tag Team Championship at the upcoming Vengeance Day special.
