Kofi Kingston really is a man of the people. I mean, who doesn’t want to see The New Day face off against the Elite in a six-man tag match?
Speaking on an episode of the Battleground podcast, Kofi spoke about other factions he would like the New Day to face, and was particularly keen on AEW’s the Elite of Kenny Omega and the Young Bucks.
He said:
“We talk about working with The Elite all the time. We talk about having a six-man [tag team match] with The Elite, that would be great. We kind of touched it when we played Street Fighter, and that wasn’t supposed to happen. We thought at some point it would be pulled, but here we are man, it’s crazy. It’s a good thing.”
It wouldn’t be the first time the six men have gone face to face, as you can see from the below photo. The two teams squared off at the E3 video game expo in 2018.
