Koko B. Ware SHOOTS On Vince McMahon

Thankfully moving onto a different subject, B. Ware touched upon the relationship he once held with Vince McMahon in the early nineties. Claiming that the boss had actually picked on him after bouts leading to the ‘Birdman’ assaulting a WWF executive, the discussion moved into somewhat bitter territory when Koko sounded miffed that Owen was chosen to turn heel and feud with Bret instead of him. Can you imagine?

This led him to orate the belief that his Hall of Fame induction was an apology for releasing him from his contract soon after High Energy went their separate ways:

“I guess he might have said, ‘well let’s put Koko in there. Instead of coming and saying, ‘Koko, I’m sorry,’ you know, ‘well let’s just put him in the Hall of Fame and give him a little money.’”

There’s some regret in the former WWF talent for the way things turned out. You have to listen to the way he talks about past events to know that. He’s still bitter that he wasn’t used correctly, that WWE haven’t made more of him like they have other legends in the past few years, and that it wasn’t him that got to feud with Bret Hart.

Sometimes, you just have to roll with the punches. Koko B. Ware was never a champion in WWF but he still has a nostalgic place in the hearts of all. In a business that can be fickle and harsh, that’s not bad at all.
