Konnan Asked Tony Khan If He Signed Daniel Bryan

The rumours of Daniel Bryan (Bryan Danielson) signing with All Elite Wrestling (AEW) have spiralled out of control in the past few days, with a report emerging that the deal had already been signed.

One person who was very keen to know Bryan’s future is Konnan, who recently revealed on his Keepin It 100 podcast that he wanted to book Bryan Danielson for AAA, so he asked AEW president Tony Khan directly if he had signed.

Konnan said:

“I will tell you this because I did ask Tony Khan. The only reason I asked him is because I wanted to use Bryan Danielson in AAA. I was like, ‘hey man, have you signed Bryan Danielson?’ He goes, ‘you know I can’t tell you that’ and then I looked at him and I go ‘bro, if that **** shows up in Chicago, that place is gonna melt’ and he just smiled so I think he might have but he has not told me.”

It has been reported that talks between Bryan and AEW officially began a few weeks ago, but AEW had considered bringing him in as far back as May.

Konnan has been making appearances for AEW lately, and will be in the corner of Proud n Powerful against FTR on next week’s AEW Fight For The Fallen show.
