Konnan Believes Top AEW Star May Not Be Invested In Wrestling AEW

Wrestling veteran Konnan has suggested that a top AEW name may not be fully invested in professional wrestling.

Konnan has made a number of appearances for AEW, previously supporting AEW’s Santana and Ortiz.

On the latest episode of Keeping It 100, Konnan and his co-hosts Disco Inferno and Joe Feeney discussed which young wrestling talent they believe have bright futures in wrestling: WWE’s Dominik Mysterio or AEW’s Hook.

Disco Inferno answered Mysterio, due to hearing that Hook has aspirations in fashion design. Feeney agreed, saying that he believes Hook wishes to pursue acting.

Konnan said that Darby Allin of AEW fame may share a similar mindset, saying:

“Darby Allin said the same thing. Like ‘I like skateboarding more than wrestling.'”

Darby Allin has made no secret of his love for skateboarding, often skating to the ring during his entrances, and occasionally using the skateboard in matches.

Allin’s love for skateboarding has even brought him into contention with other wrestlers, as he and Cora Jade traded shots on each other on Twitter in December 2021 after Allin said in a now deleted tweet that skating is a huge part of his life, and not a fake character for TV.

Allin last wrestled on the October 5 edition of Dynamite, defeating Jay Lethal in singles action – the pair are set for rematch on tonight’s November 2 episode. Stay up to date with AEW win/loss records for 2022 using our tracker right here.
