AEW Star Becomes Honorary Member Of The Elite

An AEW star has become an honorary member of The Elite.

For the past few weeks, The Elite of Kenny Omega and The Young Bucks have waged war with the Blackpool Combat Club’s Jon Moxley, Bryan Danielson, Claudio Castagnoli and Wheeler Yuta on AEW programming.

The bitter feud has seen BCC attack current and former friends of The Elite, such as Hangman Adam Page, Don Callis, Michael Nakazawa and Brandon Cutler.

On the April 19 episode of AEW Dynamite, Omega and The Bucks received reinforcements in the form of Konosuke Takeshita, who at the behest of Callis helped the group fight off the BCC.

On the newest episode of Being The Elite, Don Callis commented on Takeshita’s actions and revealed that his recruited of the Japanese star was all leading to this. He said:

“I told you. Did I tell you? I said I had a plan. Remember in LA, I’m recruiting him, and you guys are asking, ‘Where are you, Don?’ I was right there.”

“[To Takeshita] Remember you were going to go back to Japan, I promised you something big. You are in the dressing room with the greatest tag team of the last 1,000 years in the Young Bucks and the God of Pro Wrestling. What’s better than this? Am I right?”

Following some discussion between Kenny Omega, Matt and Nick Jackson, Matt Jackson decided that the group should give an Elite t-shirt to Konosuke Takeshita. Matt referred to Takeshita as an honorary member of the faction and extended the invite for him to share their locker room with Konosuke accepting.

Despite Takeshita’s assistance against Blackpool Combat Club, Omega seemed unconvinced and even stated that “it was a little too quick” to invite Konosuke into the fold.

Konosuke Takeshita will team with Kenny Omega to face The Butcher and The Blade on the April 26 edition of AEW Dynamite.
