Konosuke Takeshita Responds To Potential WWE Interest AEW

Wrestling standout Konosuke Takeshita has addressed reports about potential WWE interest, revealing whether or not he’d be open to a run with the company.

Takeshita has impressed wrestling fans all over the world during his recent international excursion, winning over AEW fans with matches against the likes of Eddie Kingston and Jon Moxley.

A report previously indicated that WWE could be interested in signing Takeshita, with WWE reportedly looking to bring in a big Japanese name.

Speaking with Cultaholic, Takeshita stated that he’d prefer to continue working with AEW, noting:

“To be honest, now I’m not interested in WWE. My next goal is more fights in AEW I hope. So I have to go to back to Japan in August and September. Maybe, not decided yet, I hope I go back to America in October.

“Then if I stay in the US I can come to the UK more times. From Japan to the UK is so far but US to UK is maybe seven hours. It’s possible.”

Takeshita will return to Japan for the August 20 DDT Wrestle Peter Pan event. His most recent AEW match was against Cesar Bononi during the August 10 Dark: Elevation taping.
