Kris Statlander Opens Up On AEW Women’s World Championship Reign AEW

AEW Women’s World Champion Kris Statlander has opened up on her reign as champion after winning the title at All Out.

Statlander ended ‘Timeless’ Toni Storm’s reign with the title back at All Out in a four-way match also featuring Jamie Hayter and Thekla.

Statlander has defeated all comers for the title since, including finally scoring wins over both Mercedes Mone and Toni Storm.

Speaking to Denise Salcedo, Statlander was asked about her thoughts on her current reign, and if it was ‘everything she dreamt about’.

Statlander responded:

“No, because you can’t ever predict how anything is going to go, and I would never want to pretend or try and have this idea in my head of ‘this is exactly how it needs to be’.

“I feel like the way I won the title was kind of out of nowhere and wasn’t an expected thing, I agree with that, it was a little bit of a shock to me as well.

“However, I’m doing everything I can to kind of exceed expectations and live up to the hype.”
