Hall of Famer Kurt Angle believes that sooner or later, WWE are going to give a fan-favourite the opportunity to prove his worth.
A former Olympic wrestler, Gable is often named when fans talk about underrated wrestlers. Kurt Angle also believes he is underutilized, but thinks WWE will eventually learn Gable’s value.
Speaking on his Kurt Angle Show Podcast, Angle praised Gable’s incredible athleticism. Noting that he can’t achieve much whilst held back, Angle claimed that Gable could be a star if he was free to do his thing.
Explaining that injuries and unforeseen circumstances provide opportunities for new top stars, Angle theorised that someday, Gable will get the opportunity to blow everyone’s minds.

“Chad has been underutilized, and I believe it’s his size, even though he’s as strong as an ox. He does a deadlift German with 300-pounders and it’s impressive. To do something like that, that’s a talent you want to utilize. He’s the real deal. He might not look that big, but his strength, technique, and ability show in those matches. If you put reins on the kid, he’s not going to succeed, but if you let him go and let him do his thing, he’s going to be a huge star.
“Someday, they’re going to utilize him correctly. People get injured, main event wrestlers especially because they are putting in the most work. Eventually, he’s going to get called up into a spot and he’s going to blow their minds and they’ll keep him in that spot. It’s going to happen eventually.
“I think Chad Gable is going to get that chance. All wrestlers eventually do unless they end up quitting or get fired.”
Gable has had an interesting main-roster career. Finding great success as part of American Alpha, Gable had to transition to the singles division in 2017 after his partner Jason Jordan swapped brands.
Although he was a fan-favourite underdog in the singles division, Gable has achieved most of his wrestling success as part of a tag-team.
On the latest episode of Smackdown, Gable and Otis made a shocking statement, brutalising Rey Mysterio after their tag match.
