WWE Hall of Famer Kurt Angle has predicted which current talent he feels will surpass John Cena and Ric Flair’s 16-time WWE World Championship record, with one important caveat.
Speaking on The Kurt Angle Show podcast, Angle picked out WWE’s current undisputed top guy Roman Reigns as the man who could claim yet another WWE record, surpassing Cena, however, that is on the condition he doesn’t follow Cena into the realm of Hollywood first.
Angle said, whilst giving his opinion on whether Roman will make the jump to the acting world:
“He’s going to break the record.
“If he doesn’t skip and go to Hollywood and become a movie star, which I think he’s going to do.”
Roman’s performances throughout the Bloodline saga have earned him plaudits when it comes to his acting ability, with his very own special counsel Paul Heyman claiming that the Tribal Chief has raised expectations in the company due to how good he has been.
As a result, fans do believe a Hollywood transition is in his future, however, it’s currently unclear when that will begin to become a reality.
While Cena holds the record along with Ric Flair for most title wins, Roman has of course long surpassed both men’s records for an individual title reign, with Roman’s 1057 day reign sitting behind only three men on the all-time list.
Despite going over 100 days without a televised title defence, the Head of the Table did in fact grace a live crowd in Mexico City with a rare title defence on July 22, ahead of his major familial showdown with Jey Uso at SummerSlam, click here for full details.
