WWE Hall of Famer Kurt Angle has had the privilege of wrestling many of the top stars from many eras of wrestling. However, that doesn’t mean that he can’t still have a few dream matches.
During a recent interview with Forbes, Angle named AEW World Champion Kenny Omega as his dream opponent. Here is his reaction when Omega’s name was brought up in the interview:
“Oh, gosh, that’s one of my dream matches! Kenny is extremely talented. I saw a match with him in Japan and I thought ‘wow this guy’s incredible.’ He reminds me a lot of AJ Styles. They both have the same style where they can fly and do groundwork equally well.”
Kurt Angle was one of the names fans speculated to be joining AEW prior to Revolution. While that did not happen, Angle did put out a video teasing a return. Should Angle take one last shot at a return, a match with Omega may not be off the table.
Angle compared Omega to AJ Styles in the interview, an opponent Angle was very familiar with. In addition to their brief encounter in WWE, Angle and Styles had a lot of matches together in TNA.
