Kurt Angle Believes Triple H Would Have Had ‘Five-Star Matches’ With This Current WWE Star WWE

WWE Hall of Famer Kurt Angle has said that WWE Head of Creative Triple H could have “five-star matches” with a current WWE star.

Triple H officially retired from in-ring competition at WrestleMania 38, opening the second night of the show my symbolically laying his boot in the ring.

Speaking on the most recent episode of his podcast The Kurt Angle Show, the former Olympian spoke about the main event of Survivor Series 2017, in which Braun Strowman laid out the Cerebral Assassin as revenge for Triple H turning heel:

“I just don’t agree with what they did with Braun there. I understand him giving me the Pedigree to screw me over and screw me over with the win against Shane [McMahon], that made sense but the thing with Braun Strowman, leaving him hanging there high and dry just made him look like an idiot.

“I say yes, it [a program between Braun Strowman and Triple H] definitely should have [happened]. Not that Triple H turned on Braun but I think he disrespected Braun to a certain degree, because he took me out in front of Braun, so that’s a sign of disrespect.

“I think that if they would have had a program together, it would have been great and I think that Triple H and Braun Strowman would have had some five-star matches.”

Triple H’s last official match was as part of a Japanese house show in 2019, when he teamed up with Shinsuke Nakamura to defeat Robert Roode & Samoa Joe.
