WWE Hall of Famer Kurt Angle has confirmed that he has underwent double knee replacement surgery.
Angle has shared an update video to Twitter, thanking fans for support. The wrestling veteran noted that his legs were still numb at the time of recording, but said he was overall feeling good.
Angle captioned the video:
“Thank you all for your prayers and best wishes for my 2 knee replacement surgeries today. So far so good. I realize rehab is going to be a bitch, but I’m ready for it. If I won a gold medal with a broken freakin neck, I can handle this! Lol. It’s true!!!! Thank you all!!!!”
Angle retired from wrestling following his match against Baron (Happy) Corbin at WrestleMania 35 in 2019. The Olympic gold medalist has since confirmed that he has turned down offers from both AEW and WWE since stepping away from the ring.
We wish Angle a safe and healthy recovery.
