Kurt Angle Reveals Wrestling Role He’d Consider Offers For

WWE Hall of Famer Kurt Angle has revealed that he’d consider offers for a specific role on wrestling shows.

Kurt Angle retired from wrestling in 2019 following his match with Baron Corbin at WrestleMania 35. The former WWE Champion has admitted that he would be open to joining a wrestling promotion as a commentator.

Speaking on the Kurt Angle Show, Angle revealed that he has considered becoming a commentator in the past. Noting that he’s never had an official offer to get behind the announcers desk, Angle said:

“Oh, thank you! (in response to a fan saying he would have been a great commentator). I have considered it. I just haven’t had an offer. I’m not sure why, probably, maybe because they think I wouldn’t be a good commentator, I don’t know. But, if I had the offer, I would consider it. You know, nobody has offered it to me.”

Angle recently revealed that he has received offers from both AEW and IMPACT to return to the ring. Stating that he has been putting off an important fusion surgery, Angle noted:

“I have had the quick-fix surgeries just so that I could get back in the ring again, and you know, the last one I did, I think, was 2015. But I’m going to eventually have to have fusion surgery; I’ve just been putting it off.”

In a separate interview, Angle discussed his retirement match, revealing which opponent he would’ve preferred to face, if his body could’ve handled the physicality.
