WWE Legend Reacts To Rey Mysterio Mentioning Him In Hall Of Fame Speech

Former WWE Champion Kurt Angle has reacted to Rey Mysterio mentioning him during the 2023 Hall of Fame ceremony.

In one of the highlights of WrestleMania 39 weekend, Rey Mysterio was inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame.

At the March 31 ceremony, Mysterio gave shout-outs to many notable names who have helped him throughout his career, including his former rival Kurt Angle.

Speaking on his Kurt Angle Show podcast, Angle thanked Rey for the shoutout, noting:

“It was a great night. I got to see a lot of people, especially a lot of the current wrestlers. I didn’t get to see Undertaker, who is the person I was most looking forward to seeing, but I ran into Triple H and had a talk with him.

“It was great to see Rey Mysterio again. He actually mentioned me in his speech, which was kinda cool. Thank you, Rey! But, yes, it was a great night.”

Rey Mysterio was inducted into the Hall of Fame by Konnan, who gave a passionate speech which was well-received by those within WWE.

Discussing Konnan’s speech, Angle said:

“What an articulate guy! It was really emotional, especially when Rey said that his wife (Angie) gave up going to school and started working full-time to provide for him, so he could be a pro wrestler.

“I got tears in my eyes when he said that. His wife was right in front of me. It was a very emotional night.”
