Kyle O’Reilly has commented on his NXT departure, following his send-off after Tuesday’s episode went off the air.
On the show, O’Reilly was defeated by Von Wagner inside a steel cage. Photos emerged once the show had concluded of O’Reilly and Johnny Gargano – whose WWE contract is also up this week – bidding farewell to the brand.
O’Reilly has taken to Twitter, appearing to confirm that this week’s show was his final appearance for the company. Doing his best impression of Gary Oak, O’Reilly tweeted:
“Truly overwhelmed by all the love and heartfelt messages. By no means does this mean goodbye… just smell ya later.”

It was recently reported that O’Reilly’s contract coming up this soon was a bit of a surprise to him since so many WWE contracts have time added for one reason or another, for example injuries. O’Reilly also reportedly passed up on the opportunity to re-sign with NXT in 2019.
Johnny Gargano has also addressed his NXT send-off, sharing photos from his emotional (and seemingly) final appearance for the brand.
