LA Knight Discusses Reaction To Jey Uso WWE Last Time Is Now Tournament Semifinal

WWE star LA Knight has addressed the reaction to his John Cena Last Time Is Now tournament semifinal match against Jey Uso.

The two popular stars faced off on the December 1 edition of Raw to decide one half of the finals of the tournament set to determine John Cena’s final ever opponent.

With LA Knight ultimately victorious, the former US Champion has now commented on the live crowd’s reaction to the babyface vs babyface match.

When asked on WWE Raw Talk if he was thinking about how fans would react to him pinning Jey Uso while the referee was counting the pinfall, Knight responded:

“I definitely have thought about that in the sense of, ‘Man, are we splitting the audience, are we making the people choose?’ But I don’t know, I’ll be honest, while we were out there, it felt like the people weren’t necessarily choosing, so much as just kind of enjoying every moment.

“Jey and I don’t have necessarily an overtly personal issue, we’re definitely competitors and both wanted to win the match, but it wasn’t a blood feud or anything.

“I think in a way they were able to enjoy it in the sense that nobody was out to physically injure the other person beyond ‘Hey, I want to get a three-count and go on.’ I think that made it easy for the people to enjoy.

“Now, if one of us would’ve gone out there and tried to hurt the other one, then maybe we’ve got something to talk about.”
