WWE announced an injury to SmackDown star LA Knight during tonight’s June 23 episode of Raw in Columbus, Ohio.
In recent weeks, Knight has been trading shots back and forth with Seth Rollins’ faction of Bronson Reed and Bron Breakker, as well as their ‘wise man’ Paul Heyman.
Knight cost both Breakker and Reed in their King of the Ring quarter-final matches, with the duo also costing Knight in his.
On SmackDown this past Friday, a match between Reed and Knight ended with Knight being attacked two-on-one, receiving several Tsunami splashes from Reed.
Tonight’s WWE Raw opened with Rollins and his group making their way to the ring, with announcer Michael Cole providing an update on Knight’s condition.
Cole stated that Knight had suffered a bruised sternum and separated rib cartilage.
He added that Knight will be out of action “indefinitely” due to the injuries that he suffered at the hands of Reed.
It would appear this is just a storyline injury, but we’ll keep you posted if any more updates on Knight’s status do emerge.
