A previously scheduled match (that has been teased for weeks to be fair) has ended up finally cancelled it seems on tonight’s WWE SmackDown (July 29).
With Michael Cole on commentary noting that “Lacey Evans is not medically cleared to compete,” SmackDown came back from a commercial break to see Shotzi already in the ring ahead of taking on Evans’ previously announced opponent, Aliyah.
Going on to elaborate as the the reason for this match, Cole said: “Gossip in the locker room is that Shotzi despises everything that Aliyah is about…” and went on to describe that she convinced Adam Pearce to give her this match.
Elsewhere on WWE SmackDown, Theory popped up and attacked the winner of a brutal match between Sheamus and Drew McIntyre. You can read all about it by clicking here.
This edition of WWE SmackDown is the go-home for WWE’s premium live event, SummerSlam set to occur tomorrow, July 30, 2022. You can read the full match card for the event by clicking here.
