WWE star Lacey Evans has teased going ‘back to basics’ following the November 11 edition of SmackDown.
During the show, Evans competed in a six-pack challenge to determine the #1 contender to the SmackDown Women’s Title.
Shotzi was ultimately victorious, pinning Evans to earn a shot at Ronda Rousey’s gold.
In a WWE digital exclusive, Cathy Kelly interviewed Evans backstage after the bout.
Teasing a change, Evans said:
“I’ve done everything that I’ve needed to do to not only get my foot in this door but also to get opportunities.
“The glitz, the glamour, and every time, I’ve come up short.
“Do you know what it is? It’s because I got complacent. This lifestyle, I got comfortable.
“To be honest with you, I have gone out of my way to please everybody but myself. It’s time to go back to basics.”
Shotzi will challenge for Ronda Rousey’s SmackDown Women’s Championship at the upcoming Survivor Series premium live event.
Raw Women’s Champion Bianca Belair has been announced for the women’s WarGames match that will take place at the November 26 event.
