IMPACT talent Lady Frost has revealed that WWE staff told her she was ‘too old’ to receive a contract offer, way before a reported edict was put in place.
Speaking with Fightful, recalled her 2018 try-out, following her match with Asuka on Raw. Frost noted that she thought everything was going well and was optimistic about getting an offer, but was ultimately told by a WWE producer that she was too old to get one, as she was already in her 30s.
Frost officially finalised a deal with IMPACT Wrestling last week, after receiving a contract offer from the promotion in October.
Earlier this month, it was reported that WWE has a new directive for hiring women, with the recommendation to sign women who are 25 or younger, because supposedly that’ll attract more young male viewers.
It has now been reported that the idea to make NXT 2.0 TV-14 is ‘still very much on the table’.
