WWE star Lana has taken to social media to fire back at reports that she was to blame for WWE banning talent from engaging with third parties.
As we’ve reported on already, Vince McMahon sent a letter to talent ordering them to end relationships with the likes of Cameo and Twitch within the next 30 days.
Dave Meltzer then stated on Wrestling Observer Radio that the “straw that broke the camel’s back” was Lana doing branded energy drink plugs on her various platforms.
She’s since taken to Twitter, writing:
I am not the straw that broke the camel’s back. You know who you are and that is false ……. but thank you for writing about me…. all of you. I am your escape goat
I’m sure she meant scapegoat.
The move to ban talent from using these platforms has been criticised by many who have brought up the “independent contractor” classification once again.
We’ll continue to keep you updated with the situation as more information and developments become available.
