Former WWE star Lana has appeared on the latest edition of the Talk is Jericho podcast, where she has given her uncensored and honest opinion of the promotion that released her last month.
While she was thankful for a lot of things, she made a point of criticising WWE’s storytelling, and claimed the promotion has a real issue with following through with stories.
She highlighted the Hurt Business as an example of this. She said:
“My biggest problem with WWE is that they don’t follow through with stories. So when they do follow through with stories it’s f***ing great, and everyone gets excited.
“I think that’s the problem with WWE programming right now. There’s no follow through with stories, period. Like the Hurt Business.”
WWE has been criticised endlessly by fans and former stars for its unusual stance on storytelling and apparent love of dropping stories without warning, so Lana’s words are hardly surprising.
She admitted she was shocked to be released, as she had been told she and Naomi would be having a big feud with Women’s Tag Team Champions Natalya and Tamina, and that they would perhaps have had a run with the titles.
