Over the Survivor Series weekend, WWE began teasing the main roster debut of Lars Sullivan, NXT’s resident ogre.
Living in a swamp and best friends with a donkey, Sullivan has everything Vince McMahon looks for in a wrestler, so it’s hardly surprising that he’s been called up.
He’s tall, he’s tall, and most importantly, he’s tall, so it’s perhaps unsurprising that there seem to be some pretty big plans for his main roster run.
According to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, there is no specific brand or program lined up for Sullivan, but the plan is for him to get a “super push” because he is a Vince McMahon kind of guy.
What that super push will be is anyone’s guess, but it’s safe to assume he’ll defeat some jobbers before moving onto bigger and better things, just like every other monster that has ever been in the WWE.
Many have criticised the decision to call Lars up so soon, arguing that he could do with at least another year in the developmental brand. Although infrequent, Lars’ matches are often guilty of the odd botch, and with the main roster so stacked already, it does seem like it doesn’t need more bodies at the moment.
