Dave Meltzer noted in the latest Wrestling Observer Newsletter that former NXT star Lars Sullivan will be returning “imminently” to WWE. They did not say exactly when Sullivan will be returning, but said it was more than likely be “sooner than later”.
Promo packages for Lars Sullivan begun airing at Survivor Series, and he was set for a “mega push” upon his arrival to the main roster. Lars was even pencilled in for a high-profile match at WrestleMania 35 against 16-time World Champion John Cena.
However, Sullivan suffered an anxiety attack before he was scheduled to debut and then no-showed TV tapings. Wrestling Inc. asked Triple H about how Sullivan was doing, and ‘The Game’ said “there’s much more to come” and that Lars was in a “good place”.
Meltzer’s claim is supported by the fact that Lars teased a debut at WrestleMania 35, responding to Elias’ tweet about his musical performance on the “grandest stage of them all”. Perhaps this is the biggest indication that we will be seeing Lars Sullivan appear at MetLife Stadium on April 7th.
