Last Man Standing Match Announced For NXT Battleground WWE

A Last Man Standing Match has been announced for the NXT Battleground event.

On the May 9 edition of WWE NXT, Dijak went one-on-one with Ilja Dragunov after weeks of issues between the two stars.

In a physically intense battle, Dijak was disqualified for bringing a steel chair into the ring. However, after the match, Dijak further attacked Dragunov and trapped him underneath the steel steps.

On the May 16 episode, Dijak tortured Dragunov in his interrogation room in a series of segments throughout the broadcast.

On May 17, James Stewart of 98.5 The Sports Hub in Boston broke the news that Dijak will face Ilja Dragunov in a Last Man Standing Match at NXT Battleground from Lowell, Massachusetts on May 28.

This bout joins the lineup that already includes Carmelo Hayes vs. Bron Breakker for the NXT Championship and the finals of the NXT Women’s Championship tournament.
