Last Night’s Smackdown Draws Lowest FOX Viewership

Last night’s Friday Night Smackdown saw Universal Champion Bray Wyatt debut a new-look blue strap. The show also featured a Smackdown Tag Team Championship match between New Day and The Revival.

Despite this, the show did not do very well in the ratings. Even appearances from a whole host of NXT stars, including Undisputed Era couldn’t help as the show drew the lowest rating on FOX.

According to Showbuzz Daily, Friday Night Smackdown drew an average of 2.35 million viewers. Despite being pre-taped in Manchester, England last week’s show did considerably better, drawing an average of 2.61 million viewers.

Apart from the 10/25 show which was aired on FS1 instead of FOX due to the World Series, this week’s show brought in the least amount of viewers since WWE moved Smackdown to FOX at the beginning of last month.

Despite doing quite poorly in the ratings, last night’s episode of Smackdown was still the most-watched live wrestling show of the week.

By comparison, Monday Night Raw drew 2.04 million viewers on Monday, while AEW: Dynamite and NXT were watched by 957,000 and 750,000 people respectively.
